Nails Of The Day: 3/12/2010

I felt a little bit more Christmassy last night and decided to paint my nails with something funky and festive! Obviously the typical Christmas colours are red and green so that's what I went for :)

Originally it was just plain and simple with all my nails painted red except my ring fingers which I painted green. I wanted to add a little something else and decided to do some sort of french tip design so I went over the top with alternate colours.

The colours I went for were Barry M's Nail Paint in Racing Green (a gorgeous deep shimmery dark green) and L'Oreal's Resist & Shine Titanium polish in number 540 (a rich shimmery cranberry red).

Never really do fancy pants nail designs to be honest, usually just a slick it on and go kinda girl when it comes to nails! Haha!

Hope you enjoyed this little nail post anyhooo :) let me know if you'd like to see more 'Nails Of The Day'. Love, Sara x

The Phantom Hacker!

Yes people, we have an epidemic on our hands. There is a YouTube beauty guru hacker on the loose!

They are going by the name of 'Amanda Woods' and sending out various emails to different guru's trying to trick us in to entering in our personal information in to a fake YouTube log in page.

I have personally recieved 2 emails now from 'Amanda Woods' telling me that someone had stolen all my videos and were uploading them to another YouTube channel. Naturally, I clicked the link to check it out and that's when I noticed the fake YouTube page asking me to log in and expose my password. Now I was fortunate enough to notice that certain aspect of this YouTube log in page weren't the real deal but other guru's such as Kandee Johnson and sccastaneda typed in their information thinking it was just a concerned subscriber trying to help them out, thus, revealing their YouTube account passwords, leaving the hacker to log in nice an easy...

They are sending emails from the address amandawoods42@gmail.com. Just incase you were wondering what the email looked like, I took a print screen of the one that they just sent me:

(Click on the image to make it bigger)

It seems the hacker is not about to stop either as I have just been speaking with DulceCandy87 and ItsJudyTime on Twitter and they have said they have both just received the same shoddy email. Also noticed a fair few other guru's sending out tweets about the situation. All I can say is that if you make video's on YouTube or have a popular blog that they are likely to target, do not click the link in the email. Simple.

That is all for now, just wanted to tell you about this silly little person trying to trick us in their little games. Well, no, we will conquer ;) muahahaa!

Millie Heads For YouTube Stardom!

LUSH Review: The Böög

LUSH has brought out this new little number from their Christmas collection this year - it is a bath ballistic called The Böög. On the website it says The Böög was inspired by a Swiss tradition that involved building a snowman type figure, filling it's head with fireworks and placing it on top of a bonfire! They would then watch and wait for the fireworks to explode from his little head! Boom!

I ran my warm bath and dropped the little fellow in under the tap! It instantly began fizzing (quite loudly!) and dissolving the main white outer layer...the smell was gorgeous! It smelt a lot like Jasmine to me although that isn't even one of the ingredients?! It's main ingredients are Armoise Oil, Myrrh Resinoid, Rosmary Oil and Clary Sage Oil.

Then came the exciting part! The 'fireworks'! As soon as the white part of the bath ballistic had dissolved, out came the fun, bright colours! It looked so pretty and the colours didn't merge together to create some yucky colour, they actually stay in there own little sections and happily fizzed away showing shades of pink, purple, yellow, orange, blue and green!

By this point the smell was just heavenly! It was so relaxing it almost made me feel slightly dozy! I just wanted to jump in and lay there all night...ahhh! The smell was quite herbal and fresh but it also had that rich warmth to it which probably came from the Myrrh (very Christmassy!) as that tends to have the smell of an amber-incense.

The so called 'fireworks' inside the ballistic (the little coloured balls) are actually tiny little LUSH bubble bars which makes the bath almost creamy feeling and extremely moisturising! They also create a few more bubbles than your ordinary bath ballistic.

Well by the time I had taken these photo's and lit a few candles, it was time for lights off and relax! I have been up fairly late most nights with my little monkey of a puppy and constantly running round after her through the day so it was lovely to have some 'me' time and just chill :)

I am so impressed with The Böög, I think I can even go as far as saying that it might be one of my new favourites! I deffinately am going to buy a couple more as they are limited edition for Christmas time and cost just £2.25. You can purchase it from LUSH stores or from the LUSH website, here: http://www.lush.co.uk/products/christmas-2010/christmas-bath-ballistics/the_boogg_1553.html

Hope you enjoyed this post everyone! What is your favourite product from LUSH?

Introducing Millie!

I have had a few requests to do a blog post showing some photo's and info on my new puppy. We went to pick her up last Sunday the 21st November from a lovely lady named Ann in Sheffield. We had previously been to see her twice before deciding she was deffinately the one! She came up to us and instantly cuddled and licked us all over! She clearly new she was going to a home where she was going to be treated like a princess!

 Name ♥ Millie
Breed ♥ Lhasa Apso crossed with a Maltese
 Birthday ♥ 2nd October 2010

She has recently discover her teeth and has been chewing everything she can get her mouth round! She especially likes my fluffy rug in my bedroom (she likes digging around in it and rolling in the softness!) and my slipper boots! She gets so exciting when I walk around her in them and she pounces all over and tried to bite the ribbons!

She is such a little cutie! We have actually gotten in to quite a good daily routine now that consists of playing, napping and toilet breaks! In that order...over and over again! She is very happy in her new home and has deffinately got used to her surroundings now :)

She certainly has her moments! One minute she is flopping all over the place, all lazy after a nap, the next she is going wild and running and jumping all over the place! She has become rather fond of the odd tummy rub and lays on her back looking at you until you stroke her! Haha!

Last night we gave her her first bath with some fruity tearless puppy shampoo! We put a few inches of warm water in the bath with a towel in the bottom so she didn't slip! She loved it and didn't cry or scramble to get out! After being wrapped up in warm towels we blow dried her hair and gave her a brush! She shook her self and it was just the cutest sight ever! She looked like a little fluffy bear cub!

Bless!

She will be making her appearance on my YouTube channel SWalkerMakeup tomorrow with her very own video so keep a look out for that! I am sure you will be seeing more of Millie in the future as she is my new little companion :)

Love, Sara & Millie ♥
