Last week I has the pleasure of spending some time with Hollie from GoodGollyMissHollie! We've been friends for a few years now but hadn't seen each other for a long time! A shopping trip and an afternoon of filming videos was on the cards and it was so lovely seeing her again!
After a browse around a few shops we came home to film a Question and Answer video and a Haul (this will be up on my channel soon!). We took to Twitter to ask you all if you had any burning questions for us and the following video shows my half of our answers. Although the UK has be inundated with a years supply of snow this week, believe it or not, we are officially now in Spring! This means it's time to banish those Winter blues and rejuvenate our makeup and beauty regimes! For me personally, this is something I do regularly. Out with the old and in with the new! Now I'm not saying to banish your entire makeup bag and buy a new stash of Spring supplies, this is all about a few quick and simple things you can do at home with the help of a few miracle products. Here are my top tips for rejuvenating yourself for Spring...
1. Fragrance: In the Winter we tend to favour more musky, heavy scents that warm us through the cold months. Now that Spring has sprung I recommend opting for something with more floral notes. Something that uplifts you even when the Sunshine can't! My Winter scent was Lady Gaga's 'Fame' perfume but now I've brought in 'Valentina' by Valentino, a gorgeous sweet, Italian floral fragrance with heart notes of wild strawberry!
2. Exfoliate, Moisturise, Tan: This little trio will leave anyone feeling fit for Spring! Lets scrub away those dry, dead skin cells with 'Sugar Crush' from Soap & Glory. It's a wonderfully intense exfoliator that reveals smooth, polished legs! After, moisturise! I am currently loving my 'Seychelles' Body Lotion from The White Company. This is my 'holiday-in-a-bottle' product, one sniff and I'm sold! I'm sure you will be too. My favourite tanning products are both from Garnier, pictured above is their 'No-Streaks Bronzer'* for a more permanent tan and their 'Summer Body' for those who love their moisturiser/gradual tints. Both fantastic for giving you a warm glow.
3. Nails: It seems their isn't a year that goes by without Pastel nails being a huge trend! My top picks for Spring nail colours are: Nails Inc. 'Powder Pink', Essie's 'Figi', LOOK Beauty 'Vintage'* and for a more affordable option, Beauty UK's 'Peach Melba' coming in at just £2.49.
4. Nourishing Oils: I love using oils for face, hair and body. Something that I have only been recently introduced to but something I now can't live without. I love my TRESemme 'Liquid Gold'* hair oil infused with Argan Oil as it relieves dry, split ends, giving your locks tonnes of lustre! Secondly, a face oil. This product from balanceMe is fantastic! It's their 'Radiance Face Oil'* and comes from 100% natural origins, making it a saviour for my skin. It's super absorbent, meaning that you won't be left with an oily film on the top of your skin. It helps clear toxins, boost cell renewal and enhance circulation when massaged in.
